Emotional: On this day, eight years ago, we tragically lost Paul Walker from the Fast & Furious franchise. Vin Diesel, his friend and co-star, has paid tribute to him with a deeply personal message.

Passed: Walker passed away on November 30, 2013 from injuries sustained in a single-car collision with a concrete lamp post and two trees, at just 40 years of age

Walker passed away at the age of 40 on November 30, 2013 after getting into a car accident with a concrete lamp post and two trees. Recently, Diesel shared a photo from Meadow’s wedding in October to Louis Thornton-Allan, where Haina, Diesel’s daughter, was the maid of honor. The actor reminisced about the time on the set of Fast & Furious in 2008, when he told Walker that he was going to be a dad for the first time. He recalled a specific scene where they were eating Chinese food and had a brother combat scene, which ended with Walker’s character uttering the words, “Letty just wanted you to come home Dom…” There are so many things Diesel wished he could tell his dear friend, who left a mark not only in his life but in the lives of many.

Filming: 'So much to tell you... I can remember that day when you and I were filming that scene in F4 where we were eating Chinese food and we had a brother combat scene which ended in you saying

While filming the F4 movie, there was a moment when Vin Diesel and his co-star had a scene where they were eating Chinese food. They also had a fight scene where the co-star’s character pleaded for Letty to come home. After the scene, the co-star came to Vin’s trailer and asked what was on his mind. Vin shared that he was about to become a father and didn’t know what to expect. The co-star then gave him some advice, saying that he should go into the delivery room and cut the umbilical cord himself, as it would be the best day of his life. The co-star was speaking from experience and had already been through it. It has been eight years since the co-star passed away, and Vin still remembers the brotherhood they shared. Even though tragedies happen in life, they can be followed by blessings if you stay open and have faith.

Tough guys: 'Will never forget what you told me... you said a lot of tough guys will tell you to wait out side of the delivery room, but that's wrong. Go in there, actually cut the umbilical cord and it will be the best day of your life,' Diesel shared

In a heartfelt tribute, Vin Diesel recounted the advice Paul Walker gave him before the birth of his first child. According to Diesel, Walker advised him to not wait outside the delivery room like tough guys do, but to go in and actually cut the umbilical cord. Diesel called it the best day of his life. He also shared a photo of his daughter with Meadow, who asked her to be her Maid of Honor. Diesel expressed gratitude towards Walker for his brotherly advice and how it helped him prepare for fatherhood. Lastly, he mentioned how his children believe that Uncle Paul is always with their dad, and how much they miss him. Paul’s brother Cody B. Walker also left a comment on the post, expressing his love for the story and adding a red heart emoji.

Smile: 'Look at this photo Pablo, it will make you smile. The same angel that you helped me prepare for in the most beautiful way with your brotherly advice is the same angel that precious Meadow asked to be her Maid of Honor,' Diesel said

Diesel shared a heartwarming photo with Pablo, urging him to take a look. The angel depicted in the picture was the same one that Pablo had assisted Diesel in preparing for, with his invaluable brotherly advice. What’s more, the very same angel had been requested by Meadow to serve as her Maid of Honor, which was sure to bring a smile to anyone’s face.

Comment: Paul's brother Cody B. Walker commented, 'The first child, I love that story each time,' with a red heart emoji
